Taryn and Jason’s wedding was one to remember. They were married on a beautiful late summer day in September at Laurel Hall. If you plan to have a summer wedding with florals destined to leave a lasting impression on your guests, you’re bound to find inspiration from Taryn and Jason’s white and blush wedding. Join me in this blog post as I walk you through some highlights of their romantic garden-style wedding florals and design. It was truly an honor for Satin & Stems to be a part of this special day.
“When I say Elizabeth is a visionary, I’m not lying. We came to Elizabeth for our wedding florals, knowing we had some lofty ideas and wanted our florals to be complementary to our event space and make it incredible. She helped walk us through each step of the way explaining pricing, where we could potentially save, helping us plan out specific design elements, among many other things. Her organization and preparation skills are nothing short of excellent. We were blown away by her proposal and truly understanding what our overall vision and “vibe” was for our wedding. We met several times virtually and in person at our venue to walk through the space and make sure we were all aligned where things would be. I booked Elizabeth nearly two years in advance, that’s how great and in demand she is. If you’re considering working with her, you will absolutely not be disappointed.” -Taryn
The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets featured mostly monochromatic white blooms with a hint of blush. We opted for a round bouquet with tightly packed blooms, which created a classy and elegant look.
Taryn and Jason were lucky to have the perfect weather for their outdoor wedding ceremony. As you walked down the staircase at Laurel Hall, you were greeted by these enchanting cascading staircase flower installation. Guests marveled at the way it enhanced the natural beauty of the venue.
Once down the stairs, you got to see their beautiful ceremony backdrop inspired by flowering trees. While real flowering trees weren’t an option, due to the season, we still made this dream come to fruition for Taryn.
Taryn wanted installations; she wanted each area of her wedding, indoor and out, to be highlighted and fully decorated with flowers. At Laurel Hall, guests have to walk around back of the mansion and proceed down a long pathway to the ceremony area. We highlighted this tree that sits in the center of the pathway to help the guest see “this is where you need to go!” Rather than using so much signage.
Then, after the ceremony, we had the seating chart mirror displayed under the tree. The guests mingled there, admiring the flowers and taking pictures under the romantic canopy!
Once guests arrived to the reception space, each table was decorated with concrete floral compotes that included garden-style white and blush blooms. The foundation of any great floral centerpiece is, of course, the flowers themselves. These flowers not only embody romance and elegance, but also offer a variety of shapes and sizes to add depth and interest to the arrangement.
The happy couple made their entrance to the reception along a candle-lit walkway, strewed with flower petals. How romantic! This was another area of the venue that we were able to come up with new ways to highlight with decor and flowers.
“ I chose you because your proposal showed how you think out of the box, and in our consult you had really great ideas”
– Taryn
Overall, we were able to create such an elegant and memorable day for everyone who was a part of this wedding. We did this through the addition of enchanting florals and decor throughout her entire venue from start to finish.
This one holds a special place in my heart, since Taryn is now one of our event day crew members. I love when past brides turn into friends that I get to keep in touch with for years.
